VIPs flood Abuja for Jonathan’s daughter’s wedding

The Central Business District of the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday witnessed a turnout of high profile guests as President Goodluck Jonathan gave his foster daughter, Inebharapu, out in marriage.

Inebharapu was joined in holy matrimony to Simeon at a well-attended service held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja.

She is a daughter of the President’s cousin.

An elaborate wedding reception was held at the International Conference Centre thereafter.

Herbert Macaulay Way, where the reception venue is located and other adjoining roads, were cordoned off by security operatives.

Some dignitaries alighted from their vehicles and trekked to the venue.

Security agents had difficulty controlling the surging crowd of guests, mainly women, who besieged the venue.
